Chaos Rising Products Explained: ETB, Pokémon Center ETB, Booster Bundle and Display

Chaos Rising is the fourth main expansion of the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution series. It released worldwide on 22 May 2026 and is built around Mega Greninja ex and Mega Floette ex. Like every modern set, it comes in a handful of different sealed products, and they are not equally good value for every buyer.

This guide explains what is in each Chaos Rising product, who it is for, and which one to pick if you want to open packs, collect the set or give a gift.

What is in the set

The story of the set is a city thrown into chaos by Mega Floette ex, with Mega Greninja ex leading the resistance. Alongside the two headliners there are five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in total, including Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex, plus regular Pokémon ex such as Beedrill ex, Gourgeist ex, Cobalion ex and Cinccino ex.

For collectors, the rarities that matter are the 11 illustration rares, 18 ultra rares and 6 special illustration rares. Mega Greninja ex is the card most people are chasing. Every Rare and below also has a reverse holo version, which matters if you are trying to complete a master set.

Single pack blister

One booster pack in a hanging blister with Toxel artwork. It is a nice add-on to an order or a small present, but it is the most expensive way to buy packs on a per-pack basis.

Booster bundle

Six packs and nothing else. If you only care about pulling cards, the bundle usually gives you the lowest price per pack of the smaller products. It is also a good way to try the set before committing to a display.

Elite Trainer Box

The standard ETB contains 9 booster packs, a full-art foil Fennekin promo, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, damage counters, dice and a sturdy storage box. If you play, the sleeves, Energy and box are useful in their own right, and the ETB is the classic gift choice.

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box

The Pokémon Center version adds two extra packs (11 in total) and a second Fennekin promo with the Pokémon Center logo. That stamped promo is only available in this box, which is why Pokémon Center ETBs often become more sought after than the regular version once a set is no longer printed.

Booster display

The display we stock is the European 18-pack booster display. Pack contents are identical to every other Chaos Rising pack. It is the right choice if you want to open a bigger batch at once or keep a sealed display of the set for your collection.

Which Chaos Rising product should you buy?

  • You want to pull Mega Greninja ex: go for packs, either the booster bundle or the display. More packs means more chances.
  • You play the game: the Elite Trainer Box. The sleeves, Energy and box are all things you will use.
  • You collect sealed: the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, because of its exclusive stamped promo.
  • It is a gift: the Elite Trainer Box for a bigger present, the blister or bundle for a smaller one.

Chaos Rising and the rest of the Mega Evolution series

Chaos Rising sits between Perfect Order and Pitch Black. All Mega Evolution sets carry legal regulation marks for the current Standard season, so the cards are playable. For the full release order, see Pokémon Mega Evolution sets in order, and for the newest set read our Delta Reign product guide.
