An Elite Trainer Box — ETB for short — is the sealed product Pokémon releases alongside every main expansion, and for most people it is the most sensible single purchase of a set. This category collects the English ETBs we currently have sealed in stock, from the newest Mega Evolution sets back through Scarlet & Violet and earlier.
What is inside. A modern ETB contains 8 or 9 booster packs from that expansion, one full-art foil promo card exclusive to the box, 65 card sleeves, 45 energy cards, six damage-counter dice, a competition-legal flip die, a plastic condition marker, a player guide to the set and a sturdy collector box with dividers. Older sets vary slightly — Sword & Shield era boxes typically held 8 packs and 65 sleeves, Sun & Moon era boxes often came with a different accessory mix.
ETB or booster display? If your goal is pure pull rate per euro, a booster display wins: more packs, lower cost per pack, no accessories. The ETB wins when you want to actually play with what you open — the sleeves and energy cards alone cover a deck — or when you want the exclusive promo card, which is never available in packs. Pokémon Center ETBs are a separate variant with extra packs and alternative artwork, and they are usually produced in smaller numbers.
