Radiance is the fifth Riftbound set, out 23 October 2026, and it arrives with something the game has not had before: a roadmap running all the way to Q4 2027. If you have been waiting to see whether Riot would support Riftbound properly before investing, the published schedule is the answer. Here is what Radiance contains and what is coming after it.
Radiance at a glance
- Release: 23 October 2026, worldwide
- Pre-Rift window: 16–22 October 2026 at participating stores
- Set size: 180 cards, including 66 Showcase cards
- Legends: K’Sante, Orianna, Ziggs, Seraphine, Jarvan IV, Ekko, Evelynn and Mordekaiser
- New rarity: Radiance Ultimate Rare, sitting above Overnumbered
The new top rarity is the part worth understanding. Riftbound already had Ultimate Rares appearing in well under one percent of packs; Radiance adds a tier above Overnumbered on top of that. Chase-card odds in this set are therefore worse than they look from a rarity list alone, which matters if you are buying displays specifically to hit a single card.

Booster packs and displays
A Radiance booster pack holds 14 cards: seven commons, three uncommons, two foil rares or better, one foil of any rarity, and one token. A display holds 24 packs. Pack and display contents come from distributor listings rather than a direct Riot announcement, so treat the exact slot breakdown as near-final rather than official.
Showdown Decks: Evelynn vs Seraphine
Two preconstructed 56-card decks, two paper playmats, two boosters, a rulebook and two foldable deckboxes. This is the best product in the set for two people who want to start playing immediately — it is a complete two-player experience in one box, which is unusual value compared with buying two separate decks.
Vault Bundle
Riftbound Vaults are reusable card-storage boxes bundled with packs, basic runes, full-art tokens and dividers. The Unleashed Vault contained six boosters, 36 basic runes, three double-sided full-art tokens and two dividers; Radiance gets its own version, with contents not yet itemised publicly.
Pre-Rift kits
Store-level prerelease product for the 16–22 October window, not a general retail release.
What comes after Radiance
Riot has published dates through April 2027 and placed two further sets in the second half of the year.
| Date | Release | Products |
|---|---|---|
| 4 Dec 2026 | Gift of the Rift Bundle | 16 boosters, runes, alt-art Akali promo, sleeves, storage box |
| 29 Jan 2027 | Set 6: Legacy | Boosters and displays, four Champion Decks (Tryndamere, Ashe, Lux, Garen), Vault Bundle; Pre-Rift 22–28 January |
| 19 Feb 2027 | Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition | Boxed set, four Champion decks (Heimerdinger, Karma, Vladimir, Illaoi) — not a booster set |
| 30 Apr 2027 | Set 7: The Reckoning | Boosters and displays, Champion Decks (Shyvana, Vayne), Vault Bundle; Pre-Rift 23–29 April |
| Q3 2027 | Set 8 | Unnamed; Bandle City theme teased |
| Q4 2027 | Set 9 | No details announced |
Three booster sets a year plus a boxed starter refresh is a slower cadence than Pokémon runs, which is good news for anyone who found keeping up with a set every eight weeks expensive. It also means each Riftbound set stays relevant longer.
Where Radiance sits in the release order
For context, the sets so far: Origins launched the game, Spiritforged followed on 13 February 2026, Unleashed on 8 May 2026, Vendetta on 31 July 2026, and Radiance on 23 October 2026. Set 6 Legacy on 29 January 2027 keeps roughly the same three-month rhythm.
Should you buy a display, the Showdown Decks, or wait
If you want to play
The Showdown Decks. Two complete decks, playmats and a rulebook in one box is the cheapest honest route into the game for two people, and preconstructed decks in Riftbound have been genuinely playable rather than token products.
If you want to open cards
A 24-pack display. Cost per pack is lower than singles-pack buying, and with 180 cards in the set a single display will not come close to completing it — expect to trade or buy singles for the gaps either way.
If you are chasing the new top rarity
Be realistic about the odds. Ultimate Rares in recent sets appeared in fewer than one pack in a thousand, and Radiance adds a rarity above Overnumbered. Buying displays as a route to a specific chase card is, mathematically, more expensive than buying that card as a single once the market settles.
If you are buying to hold
Sealed Riftbound has a much shorter price history than sealed Pokémon — the game launched in 2025. There is no established pattern yet for how Riftbound displays behave two or three years out, and anyone who tells you otherwise is extrapolating from a very short record. Treat it as speculation rather than a known quantity.
